T-Mobile IMEI Unblocking Can Remove Your Smartphone Blacklist

(Last Updated On: August 9, 2022)

If your phone is blocked on the network, a T-Mobile IMEI unblocking to remove iPhone and Android phone blacklist service will let you use your device again.

Getting an iPhone or smartphone that is blocked on the network is not fun but it’s still not too late to get it fixed (but you must hurry!) as it is possible to unblock the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).

Definition of IMEI Unblocking

If you’re new to this concept, there is a difference between unblocking and unlocking. A blocked iPhone or smartphone means the device is blocked on the network. An unlocked phone means you have the freedom to switch to any carrier.

Even if you have an unlocked iPhone or smartphone, if the IMEI is blocked, you won’t be able to use the phone. This is because the blockage is done on network level.

All carriers now share their databases therefore if your phone is blocked on one carrier, your unlocked phone won’t work on another network.

IMEI unblocking is a process to remove it from the blacklist and eventually allows you to use it back on the network again.

How to Check if iPhone or Android Phone IMEI is Blocked

While there are many available free checkers to check the status of iPhone and smartphones, T-Mobile also offers a free tool that can you use to check it your device is blocked or otherwise. The link can be found below:

https://t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx

The result is instant and 100% accurate because it is queried directly from T-Mobile database

T-Mobile IMEI Unblocking

Just as explained earlier, a T-Mobile IMEI unblocking service is specific to T-Mobile carrier. The work is done by removing the ‘block’ or blacklist status on the carrier database.

Once it’s removed, you can use your T-Mobile iPhone or Android device normally again.

Can You Switch Carrier if Your IMEI is Blocked?

You can definitely switch carrier as long as your IMEI is not blocked on other network. Normally, if your phone has unpaid bills or outstanding balance, the blocking is done only on the original carrier.

However, if it’s blocked due to lost or stolen, you won’t be able to switch any carrier unless you remove the blockage first.

How to do T-Mobile IMEI Unblocking

Before you proceed with T-Mobile IMEI unblocking, you need to make sure that you have already verified the status using the free tool above and also verified that the phone is in fact a T-Mobile iPhone.

The 15-digit IMEI is needed which can be found in your iPhone under Settings > General > About.

Once that’s done, then follow the steps below to get your T-Mobile unblocked.

Step 1: Verify your device carrier on https://t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx. If it returns unknown status or not recognized, it is not a T-Mobile device.

Step 2: If it is a T-Mobile iPhone or device, it should return with a message that it is ‘blocked’ or ‘congratulations…’ If the message is latter, that means the device is not blocked which is a good thing.

Step 3: Remove the blockage by using this T-Mobile IMEI Unblocking service.

Step 4: It will take a few hours to a few days depending on the service type you have chosen.

Step 5: You will get a confirmation email that your order is delivered. At this stage, go back to Step 1 to verify the status again. You should get a ‘congratulations” message.

Step 6: This is an optional step. You can consider unlocking your T-Mobile iPhone so that you can switch to any carrier in USA or worldwide.

How about AT&T, Verizon and Sprint Unblocking?

The services to IMEI unblock phones from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint are also available which you can check with us on the availability by dropping us an email or tap on contact above.
